The SVP, ACCOUNT DIRECTOR is an Account Services department position with the ability and understanding to align a book of business of multiple brands strategy and tactics with the overall client/corporate vision. Leading by example. SVP, GADs contribute to the greater good of the agency in word and deed. They live the core values on a daily basis and inspire others to do the same. They are dynamic individuals who create a positive force for growth in their people, their brands, and the agency as a whole. SVP GADs demonstrate courage and humility. They are reflective and active learners. As active members of the senior management team, they lead the way to advance the agency’s mission and business—identifying opportunities and turning them into realities. Responsible for playing pivotal integration role between all account teams to ensure consistent knowledge of agency services and appropriate application/ implementation of established best practices and offerings. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all aspects of agency services and deliverables and is relied upon by all account teams to engage in a consultative manner on an as-needed basis

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

(Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following)

  • Possesses the well-seasoned healthcare marketing professional with a wide-ranging body of knowledge in various therapeutic areas
  • Business development is a key responsibility along with the evolution of the agency’s overall go-to-market strategy
  • Maintains “guru” status with clients and drives new ideas and opportunities – getting out in front of clients, building a solid foundation of trust and credibility for future business
  • Possesses superior communication skills across the board. Strong professional presence that immediately puts clients at ease and wins their confidence
  • Manages multiple account teams. Leads from the front and is seen to be constantly developing innovative techniques and agency offerings for the betterment of all
  • Develops best practices processes and ensures all agency teams maintain high quality work
  • Serves as a mentor and takes initiative to develop training mechanisms
  • Agency (as well as team) leader, SVP, AD maintains s strong presence across teams whether they are in or out of the office

Job Qualifications:

Skills/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree preferred in Marketing and Management

  • Must have 10 years of experience in advertising industry
    • At least 3.5 – 4.5 years of VP, Account Director experience in an agency setting is required
    • At least 8 – 10 years of pharmaceutical marketing or project management experience required
  • Possesses positive and inspirational qualities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to multitask, handle stressful situations, and deadline pressures
  • Ability to travel (locally and nationally) up to 50% of time.
  • Works beyond what is described in job description as needed. Willing to be flexible for the team, and ultimately the work. Willingness to work across teams as needed
